How does central heating work?

  • The boiler will use gas to heat up the water.
  • An electric pump in the boiler is responsible for moving the heated water around your radiators and to your hot water tank if you have one.
  • As the water flows through the central heating radiators, some of the heat will be used to warm up your home.
  • The hot water is also shared with your taps and shower heads.
  • A thermostat will be in charge of monitoring the temperature and will switch the gas-powered system off when it reaches the desired temperature.

Our work is built to last.
